WHY SHOULD I HIRE A LIFE COACH?
A life coach can help an individual set and achieve goals, overcome obstacles, and improve their overall well-being. They can provide guidance, support, and accountability to help their clients make positive changes in their lives. They can also help individuals to identify and overcome limiting beliefs, improve communication skills, and build confidence. Additionally, a coach can help an individual to develop a more positive mindset and find greater fulfillment in their personal and professional lives.
I'M NEW TO THIS SORT OF THING, SO WHAT IS THE EXPECTATION FOR ME?
You get out of your coaching experience what you put into it. Honor yourself and the process by showing up on time. Make sure you are in a private space with good service or wifi connection. Your environment should be distraction-free (sorry, no driving or exercising). Cancellations need to be made at least 24 hours in advance and there are no refunds on packages or promo-rated offers.
HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY FIRST SESSION?
You can prepare for your first session by following the below steps:
1. Ensure you have received a link to join the Zoom (sent by me) at least 24 hours before your scheduled meeting time.
2. Fill out the new-client onboarding survey
3. Take the optional Values Assessment, write down your top 3-5 values, and bring it with you to our first meeting.
4. Login at least 5 minutes early to make sure your internet connection, video, and microphone are working properly.
5. Ensure to the best of your ability that you are in a space free of noise with privacy so you can speak freely. No driving or exercising.
6. Bring a pen & paper with you to take notes about insights you have or actions you'd like to take moving forward.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN COACHING & THERAPY?
Great question! Life coaching and therapy are both forms of professional assistance, but they have different goals and approaches. Life coaching focuses on helping individuals identify and achieve specific goals, such as career advancement or personal development. Therapy, on the other hand, aims to help individuals address and overcome mental health issues, such as anxiety or depression. Therapists use techniques such as talk therapy and cognitive-behavioral therapy to help individuals understand and change negative patterns of thinking and behavior. Coaches may use similar techniques but focus more on the present and future rather than the past.
IS THERE PROOF COACHING WORKS?
Yes! The ICF Global Coaching Client Study shows most clients reported improved work performance, better business management, more efficient time management, increased team effectiveness, and more growth and opportunities. The same study found that coaching clients noted greater self-confidence, enhanced relationships, more effective communications skills, better work-and-life balance and an improvement in wellness. Nearly 70 percent of individuals indicated they had at least made back their initial investment. The median suggests that a client who achieved financial benefit from coaching can typically expect a ROI of more than three times the amount spent.
WHAT ABOUT SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE?
A randomized controlled trial published in the Journal of Clinical Psychology found that individuals who received life coaching had significant improvements in well-being, self-esteem, and goal attainment compared to a control group. Another study published in the Journal of Counseling Psychology found that individuals who received life coaching reported significant improvements in mood, stress, and overall well-being, as well as an increase in career satisfaction. A systematic review published in the Journal of Positive Psychology found that life coaching is effective in improving well-being, self-esteem, and goal attainment and that the effects of coaching are long-lasting.
WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL A SCHEDULED SESSION?
All cancellations need to be made 24 hours in advance and rescheduled within a week. Any missed sessions will be charged as a full session unless otherwise discussed.
IS WHAT WE DISCUSS CONFIDENTIAL?
Yes. What we discuss in our sessions is confidential and cannot be shared with anyone. The only exception is if there is an indication that a client intends to harm themselves or others in which case it is my professional duty to report to necessary authorities according to the Code of Ethics laid forth by the ICF.
WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?
Individual Sessions:
We do not offer returns or refunds on individual sessions or promo related items. If a client is unable to attend a scheduled session, they may request a makeup session, subject to availability.
Month-Long Packages:
For our month-long packages, there are no returns or refunds offered. In the event that a client is unable to attend one or more of their scheduled sessions, they may request a makeup session, subject to availability.
